Salt System Installation & Service
A saltwater pool is an alternative to a traditional chlorine pool. Although you don’t add chlorine tablets to a saltwater pool, it does still contain chlorine.

A saltwater pool contains 10 times less salt than the ocean. Some people find this type of pool less harsh on their hair, eyes, and skin than a chlorinated pool.
Saltwater pools are becoming more common at hotels, resorts, and on cruise ships. You can also choose to have a saltwater pool installed at your own home.
True Blue Pools can install a variety of different salt generating systems.
Green Pool Treatment
The colour green in your pool means you have one enemy: Algae.
Algae is a simple plant that thrives in water that offers them food and a hospitable (welcoming) environment. It doesn’t take much for algae to enter your pool. Algae can become airborne, or ride into your pool on debris, a swimsuit, or a pool toy. When it finds water with nitrogen and phosphorus that isn’t protected, algae start eating, and the bloom can seemingly appear overnight.

True Blue Pools will diagnose and treat your pool until it is crystal clear.

Repair of Equipment
Discovering you have a problem with your pool is never pleasant. We can conduct a thorough inspection of the pool and equipment to identify the problems and offer repair solutions.

Stain Treatment
Stains occur naturally in a pool and require regular maintenance to keep them out. Sometimes, it can be fairly easy to get rid of stains; but other times, those hard-to-remove spots can take a bit more than a simple scrub. Pool stains on the wall or floor of a swimming pool can be caused by metals in the pool water, or by organic material entering the pool.
True Blue Pools has the expertise to find the cause of and the solution to removing most pool stains.

Troubleshoot Equipment failure
On occasion, the pool equipment can present signs of equipment malfunction which can be unusual noises, leaks, and failure to operate correctly.
Pool equipment: the pump and filter, heater, cleaner, chlorinator, salt system, valves and pool light are the main items that can malfunction; however, there are a few other pieces of engineering around a pool to consider.
It is usually the 8 items listed above that cause a need for in depth troubleshooting. At True Blue Pools, we have the expertise to locate and repair malfunctioning equipment.
Install and Service of Automated Systems
Swimming pool automation uses technology to control your swimming pool’s equipment and accessories from a single control panel or even from your smartphone or tablet!
Today’s swimming pool automation systems allow you to control just about every piece of equipment you can think of, from essentials like your pool’s pump, filter, and heater to fun extras like lighting and sound. Or, program your pool to heat up (or cool down) as the temperatures change with the seasons -- the possibilities are almost limitless!

Filter Maintainance
Filtration is the only means to remove contaminants. It takes at least 8-10 hours for the average size pool to be completely filtered through. Poor filter maintenance issues can lead to cloudy water, increased chemical use, inability for the chemicals to function, poor circulation, equipment failure and disease outbreaks.
There are three main filter types that are common with each having their own pros and cons. We can troubleshoot any filter problems you may be having and make suggestions on which filter type is best for your specific needs.

Pipework and pump room installations
There are many different materials that are used in swimming pool construction. When it comes to the piping that is used for swimming pool installation, the type you choose can have a significant impact on the overall quality of the installation and the lifespan of the pool system.

These days, you will still find pools from before the 1970s that have copper pipes, more recent pools that use black poly pipe, but by far most current swimming pool plumbing systems use either rigid PVC or flex PVC. Most pool installers prefer rigid PVC pipe (even though it can be more difficult to install) because the disadvantages of flex PVC outweigh its ease of installation.

It’s important to build your pool to last and to require as little maintenance and repair as possible. That’s why knowing about the different piping options for your pool’s plumbing is important. True Blue Pools can work with your contractor to ensure the best choice for swimming pool plumbing is used.

Leak Detection & Repair
Have you noticed your pool starting to lose more water than normal? It could be different weather conditions causing more evaporation than usual, or it could be a leak.

Either way, we can investigate if there is a leak and provide options on repairing any leaks found.

Pool leaks can happen through several areas, so figuring out where your leak is coming from can take some time and can be a challenging task. At True Blue Pools, we have the expertise to locate your leaks and fix them.
